Foxtail Millet

One of my favorite ornamental grasses, this is Foxtail Millet. It literally looks like little foxtails on long strong stems. Plants start out at the beginning of the season with rich chocolate colored blooms with bright green foliage. As the weather cools the blooms turn to a golden caramel and the foliage to a burgundy wine. Whether using it fresh or dried this truly unique grass that will add texture to any arrangement.

Planting: Direct seed or can also be started indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost. 90 days to maturity

Harvesting: Stems are ready for harvest when fully open.
