This unusual biennial also known as the money plant, produces short lived white flowers that give way to silver dollar type pods in a beautiful green. This flower is best known though for its iridescent look when it’s dried that is long lasting and can be used in a multitude of ways.
Planting: Start seeds in the spring after your last frost. Requires light for germination.
Harvesting: Stems are ready to cut when pods are fully formed and mature. Can be used fresh or dried. When pods are completely dried, the outer skin can be gently peeled back to reveal the pearl paper pods inside.
