Chamomile
Chamomile
Chamomile has so many uses in the garden. These cheerful blooms can be used as a cut flower or filler, an edible accent or as an herb for making homemade tea. I always designate a raised bed in our kitchen garden for chamomile not only for all its uses but for the pollinators too.
Planting: Start your seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost date. Do not cover the seed as they need light to germinate. 60-70 days to maturity
Harvesting: It is best to harvest stems for cut flowers during the coolest time of the day. For all other purposes, blooms can be harvested when flowers are fully open.
