Basket Flower
Basket Flower
I started growing this variety a few years ago and have completely fallen in love with it. Basket flower adds so much whimsy and texture to bouquets and arrangements. You can use it in bud form to showcase it’s woven type features or using it in full bloom to show off it’s floral fringe. Blooms have the sweetest scent of sugar and the pollinators go nuts over it as well. A must grow!
Planting: Start your seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. 100-110 days to maturity
Harvesting: Stems are ready to be cut when the stems are firm and not wobbly. It is best to harvest during the coolest time of the day. Excellent cut flower that can be used fresh or dried.
