The Sweetest Celebration

The Sweetest Celebration

February has been an absolute dream come true. It’s hard to put into words just how much this past month has meant to me, but if I had to try, I’d say this: Sweet Pea School launched into the world with more love, joy, and excitement than I ever could have imagined. From the beautiful book launch party at Christianson’s Nursery to wrapping hundreds and hundreds of books at my dining table, to the surreal experience of being on live TV, this has been a once-in-a-lifetime season.

And through it all, the most special part? You.

The support from this incredible flower-loving community has been overwhelming in the best way. So let’s take a moment to relive the magic together.

A Night to Remember: The Sweet Pea School Launch Party at Christianson’s

The book launch party at the Vinery at Christianson’s was nothing short of magical. The space was filled with friends, family, and flower lovers—some of whom traveled from out of state just to be there! I will never forget looking out at the crowd and seeing the line wrapping up and down the stairs of people waiting to get their books signed.

One of the most special moments of the evening was my conversation with Nicole from Let’s Grow Girls. To sit together, surrounded by a room full of people who share our love of sweet peas, talking about this book and the flowers that inspired it—it was a moment I’ll cherish forever.

And then there was the Sweet Pea Variety Wall. If you saw it, you know—what a sight! Seeing so many stunning varieties displayed in one place was enough to make any flower lover’s heart skip a beat.

And perhaps the biggest personal full-circle moment? Walking into Primrose, the beautiful shop at Christianson’s, and seeing Sweet Pea School on the shelves. Having my book in that space—a shop I’ve admired for so long—was truly a dream come true.

Live TV and Sweet Peas on the News!

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be sitting in a TV studio, talking about sweet peas on live television, I never would have believed you. But this month, that happened—not once, but twice!

I had the surreal opportunity to share Sweet Pea School on King 5 News and KOMO News, spreading the joy of sweet peas to gardeners and flower lovers all across the Pacific Northwest. It was nerve-wracking, exciting, and an absolute honor to bring my love of these flowers to a whole new audience.

Hundreds and Hundreds of Books, Wrapped with Love

One of the most rewarding (and slightly chaotic) parts of book launch week? Packing up hundreds and hundreds of copies of Sweet Pea School to send all over the country.

There was something so special about sitting at my dining table, carefully wrapping each book, knowing that soon it would be in the hands of a gardener, florist, or flower dreamer ready to dive into the world of sweet peas. It was a full-circle moment—just like planting seeds, nurturing them, and finally seeing them bloom.

And of course, Nicole landed in Seattle and went straight to work helping us pack! Talk about a true flower friend—she barely had time to catch her breath before diving into book shipping madness with me.

Having Nicole here for launch week made everything even more special. She is one of my dearest flower friends, and getting to celebrate this milestone together was the best gift.

Beyond the book events, we spent time exploring Seattle, shopping for things she can’t find in England (two Cheesecake Factory trips included!), and raising cocktails to sweet peas.

The flower world has a way of bringing the best people into your life, and I am so incredibly grateful for the friendships this journey has given me.

Book Signings in Seattle & Portland

The celebrations didn’t stop at the launch party—getting to visit Elliott Bay Books in Seattle and Powell’s Books in Portland was another dream come true.

Both events were filled with wonderful people, great questions, and the chance to read the first chapter of Sweet Pea School aloud to an audience—something I never thought I’d do, but absolutely loved.

Seeing so many of you come out to listen, ask questions, and share your own love of sweet peas was the perfect way to continue the celebration.

The Next Season: 45,000 Sweet Pea Plants

With all the book launch excitement, you’d think we’d be slowing down—but the farm is just getting started.

Right now, 45,000 sweet pea plants are getting planted, promising a breathtaking season ahead. There are exciting new varieties to look forward to, alongside old favorites that never fail to steal the show.

It’s a reminder that while this month has been about celebrating the book, the heart of it all—the flowers themselves—are still growing, still blooming, still teaching us.

Thank You, From the Bottom of My Heart

This month has been everything I dreamed of and more, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.

To everyone who bought a book, attended an event, sent a kind message, or cheered from afar, thank you. Every bit of love and support means the world to me.

And now, as we turn the page on this chapter, we look ahead to a season bursting with sweet peas. Here’s to a year full of flowers, friendships, and big, beautiful dreams.

With love and gratitude,
Marryn
